Sleepover at The Deep
On Thursday 12th April, some of our Year 5 and Year 6 children had a sleepover at the Deep in Hull. We had the place to ourselves and were given a guided tour , even having the opportunity to touch star fish and sea urchins. We received a practical science lesson in the centre, where we mixed substances to make our own slime, which each child was able to take home. We then made our own t-shirts to take home, wrote postcards to our parents and made keyrings. After all our hard work we then had our supper and settled down next to the huge tanks and got ready for bed. After a few hours sleep we woke up, had breakfast, went and saw the penguins playing and visited the shop.
It was lovely to see the children embracing and enjoying this new opportunity and experience.
