Chesterfield Football Club are running an after school club for children of all year groups. This club aims to improve the children's dribbling, shooting anfd passing skills whilst also developing their teamwork, collaboration and understanding of fair play.
Our Year 6 children have been thoroughly enjoying cookery club after school. They have learnt different cutting and slicing techniques as well as learning about food and hygiene. So far they have cooked a stir fry, tomato pasta and curry.
Year 3 children have been partaking in an afterschool gymnastics club.
Mr Shaw has been coaching some of our older pupils in the sport of snooker.
Some children enjoyed the opportunity to attend an arts and crafts after school club where they were able to practice their clay skills.
Here at Spire Juniors we offer a breakfast club for our children where they are able to attend school from 7.45 a.m. They can enjoy some cereal, toast or bagels with juice all whilst recieving help with their homework, if needed.
Some of our Year 3/4 children have enjoyed attending an afternoon school times table club where they play games and compete on Times Table Rockstars with the aim to improve times table recall and fluency. Some of these children are now so quick they have been known to beat some of our teachers.
