As part of our school's Climate Action Plan, we are working hard to promote sustainability and help protect the environment. Our Global Guardians play a fundamental role in our efforts to embed this ethos in school.

This year they have launched and actively led the Wow Tracker in their classes, recording how every pupil travels to school, helping us to calculate our carbon footprint. This encourages more children to walk to school. Everyone in school is working towards earning badges and we have participated in creating badge designs for the Active Travel England scheme.

We have taken part in a cinema trip to watch David Attenborough's Ocean documentary, which provided a huge insight into the impact that humans have on a global scale, highlighting global issues. This sparked in-depth discussions about what we can do as a school to help the environment.

We are also a Plastic Clever School. We have completed stage 1 of our journey where we learnt about plastic pollution. The children are now working towards achieving the next stage in our Plastic Clever mission. The children have  identified a problem of littering and are taking action by organising a whole  school litter pick to support our community and local area.
